How do I transfer cash?

To transfer cash between nabtrade accounts or from your linked NAB bank account navigate to Transfer & Pay from the main navigation and select Make a funds transfer. When transferring cash to a non nabtrade account, you will be prompted to enter a security code. This will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Tip: Make sure your mobile number is up to date in your nabtrade account so you can receive your security code. To update your mobile phone number complete and return a Change of Personal Details form via forms@nabtrade.com.au

Transferring money into your nabtrade Cash Account

There are three ways to transfer money into your nabtrade Cash Account:

  1. Pull funds in from a linked NAB Bank account. To do this go to Transfer & Pay > Make a funds transfer. Funds transferred in this way will be available immediately. If your NAB accounts aren’t linked to your nabtrade account, call us on 13 13 80.

  2. Push funds into the nabtrade Cash Account. You can do this from a NAB or non-NAB bank account by transferring money through your existing financial institution to the BSB and account number of your nabtrade Cash Account. Funds transferred in this way are typically available the day after the transfer but may take longer.

  3. BPAY. You can BPAY funds into your nabtrade Cash Account from any financial institution which supports BPAY transfers. To find the biller code and your BPAY reference number go to Portfolio > Portfolio snapshot, click on the relevant portfolio, select nabtrade Cash Account and select Account Details.

The following transfer limits apply:

  • From your nabtrade account you can transfer unlimited amounts instantaneously, to any linked nabtrade or NAB bank accounts.

  • To an external account you can transfer up to $20,000 online per day.

  • Should you wish to transfer more than $20,000 to an external account, or for instructions on transferring more than $100,000 to an external account please contact us on 13 13 80.

Important: Funds may only be transferred out via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). BPAY out and Direct Debit are not supported on the nabtrade Cash Account.

Generally, if we receive the money by 4pm (AEST) on a Banking Day, we will credit it to your Cash Account that day. However, if we receive the funds after 4pm (AEST) on a Banking Day, a weekend or a designated public holiday, we will generally credit the funds to your Cash Account on the next Banking Day.
